Our Observation Department plays a critical role in providing high-quality, continuous monitoring for patients who need close observation but do not require inpatient admission. What We Offer:
  1. Continuous Monitoring: Ensure patient safety by closely monitoring their condition, especially during treatments like chemotherapy.
  2. Collaborative Patient Care: Work alongside a dedicated healthcare team to manage patient conditions and support optimal outcomes.
Observation:

The Observation Department is specifically designed for patients who require monitoring but don't meet the criteria for inpatient admission. As part of our team, you'll play a vital role in delivering tailored care to our patients when they need it most.

Responsibilities:
  • Integrate and practice according to the City of Hope Professional Practice Model to deliver care service excellence.
  • Align with City of Hope mission and values, the Division of Nursing and Patient Care Services' vision and mission, and focus on the patient, family, and community by carrying out the nursing process, coordinating interdisciplinary care planning, and documenting according to standards, including validating the patient and caregiver's understanding of the care plan and outcomes.
  • Act as a change agent, committed to lifelong learning, professional development, and embodying City of Hope's organizational mission and values, as well as the ethos of the nursing profession.
  • Hours:
    1. 7:00am - 7:30pm
  • Part-time 12-hour shifts / 2 days a week
Qualifications:

Your qualifications should include:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an acute care setting and/or outpatient setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • CA RN License
  • BLS through American Heart Association
  • ACLS through American Heart Association
  • PALS through American Heart Association
