Position: Observation Nurse

City of Hope is seeking a dedicated and experienced nurse to join our Observation team. As a nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, monitoring patients' conditions, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in our outpatient observation unit. This unit is intended for observation status patients who do not meet inpatient criteria.

Sign-on Bonus Eligible: $10,000

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Integrate and practice according to the City of Hope Professional Practice Model to deliver care and service excellence.
  2. Carry out the nursing process, coordinate interdisciplinary care planning, and document according to standards, including validating patient and caregiver understanding of the care plan and expected outcomes.
  3. Act as a change agent, committed to lifelong learning, professional development, and embodying City of Hope's organizational mission and values.
  4. Work hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  5. Part-time, 12-hour shifts, 2 days a week
Qualifications:

Your qualifications should include:

  1. 3-5 years of experience in an acute care and/or outpatient setting.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Licensure and Certifications:
  • CA RN License
  • BLS through American Heart Association
  • ACLS through American Heart Association
  • PALS through American Heart Association
