Salary Range

$76,396.32 - $126,730.61

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage patient needs throughout the episode of care, focusing on discharge and transitions within the acute care stay.
  2. Ensure delivery and coordination of patient care by the caregiving team, providing compassionate, competent care to patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
  3. Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and tests, and document treatments per policies and regulations.
  4. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
  5. Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
  6. Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care decisions.
  7. Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
  8. Administer medications as ordered.
  9. Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  10. Guide ancillary personnel and maintain professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Graduate from a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree).
  2. Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  3. Certification in BLS and ACLS.
  4. Previous experience as a PCA or nursing assistant preferred.
  5. Commitment to continuing education to improve job performance.
  6. Knowledge of quality improvement principles and problem-solving tools.
