Urgent Cancer Care, 24/7 at City of Hope

At City of Hope's Evaluation and Treatment Center (ETC), we recognize that cancer doesn't wait. The ETC operates 24/7, 365 days a year, providing urgent care for cancer-related emergencies and complications.

As the only cancer-specific urgent care center on the West Coast, the ETC combines over a decade of experience with advanced technology, staffed by experts committed to compassionate, comprehensive care.

Whether managing chemotherapy side effects, immunotherapy or transplant complications, or other hematologic or oncologic emergencies, our highly trained clinicians are here to provide personalized, coordinated support at any hour.

Position Details

Our Evaluation and Treatment Center is expanding and currently has multiple positions available across various shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver care aligned with the City of Hope Professional Practice Model to ensure service excellence.
  • Follow the mission and values of City of Hope, the Division of Nursing and Patient Care Services, and focus on patient, family, and community-centered care.
  • Implement the nursing process, coordinate interdisciplinary care planning, document according to standards, and ensure patient and caregiver understanding of care plans and outcomes.
  • Act as a change agent, committed to lifelong learning, professional development, and embodying the organizational and nursing profession's values.
Work Hours
  • 7:00 am - 7:30 pm
  • 12:00 pm - 12:30 am
  • 10:00 am - 10:30 pm

Full-time, 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an acute or outpatient care setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Emergency Department experience is a plus
Licenses and Certifications
  • CA RN License
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications through the American Heart Association
