Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking experienced Med/Surg/Tele nurses to join our staffing resource office as part of the Region Core Float Pool. This full-time role includes 3x12 hour shifts per week, with every 3rd weekend and some Fridays in a 6-week cycle, and requires floating to different BayCare hospitals as census dictates.

The position is based in Clearwater, FL, with locations across St. Anthony’s, Morton Plant, Mease Dunedin, Mease Countryside, and more.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 2 years RN experience in Med/Surg/Tele setting.
• Cerner EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float to BayCare hospitals based on census needs.
• Provide Med/Surg/Tele nursing care.
• Support staffing resource office with patient care delivery during assigned shifts.

It takes a special kind of person to become a nurse and we’re hoping that you’re one of those special people who would like to be a BayCare nurse. BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking experienced med surg/tele nurses to join our outstanding and compassionate staffing resource office team.

Region Core Float Pool- Full-time. 3x12 hour shifts per week to include every 3rd Saturday and Sunday, and 2 Fridays in 6-week schedule. Holiday commitment includes summer and winter holiday, and hard to fill staffing day. Required to float to a region of hospitals based on census needs.

Region 1 includes St Anthony's, Morton Plant, Mease Dunedin, Mease Countryside and Morton Plant Northbay Hospitals.

Region 2 includes St Joseph's Main, St Joseph's North, St Joseph's South and Wesley Chapel Hospitals.

Region 3 includes Bartow Regional, South Florida Baptist and Winter Haven Hospitals.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
• Associates-Preferred Bachelor's degree in nursing
• 2 years RN experience in an acute Med/Surg/Tele setting
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred
• Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts
• Must be able to pass Tele test during orientation
• Flexibility

Shift: 6:45am - 7:15pm

Weekend Work: Every 3rd weekend
