Job summary

BayCare Health Systems is seeking an experienced Float Pool RN to support med/surg and tele units across our regional hospitals in Florida. This full-time role requires 3x12 hour shifts, with every 3rd weekend, and 6:45am–7:15pm hours, across multiple BayCare facilities.

Candidates must hold a current RN license and BLS, with 2 years acute RN experience; Cerner EMR experience is preferred. Associates degree required, bachelor's preferred; reliable transportation and flexibility are essential.

• BLS (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) certification.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in acute Med/Surg/Tele.
• Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float to region hospitals based on census needs.
• Provide Med/Surg/Tele nursing care across units.
• Adhere to BayCare policies and clinical guidelines.

It takes a special kind of person to become a nurse and we’re hoping that you’re one of those special people who would like to be a BayCare nurse. BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking experienced med surg/tele nurses to join our outstanding and compassionate staffing resource office team.

Region Core Float Pool- Full-time. 3x12 hour shifts per week to include every 3rd Saturday and Sunday, and 2 Fridays in 6-week schedule. Holiday commitment includes summer and winter holiday, and hard to fill staffing day. Required to float to a region of hospitals based on census needs.

• Region 1 includes St Anthony's, Morton Plant, Mease Dunedin, Mease Countryside and Morton Plant Northbay Hospitals.
• Region 2 includes St Joseph's Main, St Joseph's North, St Joseph's South and Wesley Chapel Hospitals.
• Region 3 includes Bartow Regional, South Florida Baptist and Winter Haven Hospitals.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
• Associates-Preferred Bachelor's degree in nursing
• 2 years RN experience in an acute Med/Surg/Tele setting
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred
• Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts
• Must be able to pass Tele test during orientation
• Flexibility
