Job summary

Penn Medicine seeks a Clinical Nurse 2 who will provide patient-centered nursing care within the professional practice model. The RN will practice as a full partner on the health care team, applying the nursing process to diverse patient populations from infancy to the elderly.

This role requires collaboration with an interprofessional team to ensure safe, high-quality care and active participation in on-call duties.

Qualifications

• RN licensure issued by the PA Board of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Completion of the Nurse Residency Program or more than 15 months of practice.
• CPR Certification - American Heart Association Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care through the nursing process and assign patients across age groups.
• Collaborate with an interprofessional health care team to coordinate care.
• Educate patients about healthy practices and treatment modalities.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as required.
• Maintain safety, privacy, quality, respect and teamwork in daily practice.
