Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian's Irvine Cancer Outpatient Treatment Center seeks a Clinical Nurse I to provide direct patient care on Medical/Surgical units in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate is a California-licensed RN, with BSN preferred or started within one year of hire and completed within two years, and current BLS; oncology infusion

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse in California in good standing.
• BLS certification current prior to clinical rotation.
• Oncology infusion experience required for Infusion track; non-oncology infusion may not require it.
• ACLS after hire; Chemotherapy/biotherapy provider card required.
• PICC services ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical/Surgical units in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
• Collaborate with health care team to ensure safe, timely, quality patient care.
• Perform physical assessments, administer medications, manage pain, and collect specimens.
• Meet nutritional needs and provide teaching and discharge planning for patients.
• Utilize nursing process and adjust care with consultation as needed.
