Job description

Salary Range:$49.76-$85.83/hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

Compensation Details

Level 1:

  • Minimum: $49.76
  • Midpoint: $61.97
  • Maximum: $74.17

Level 2:

  • Minimum: $52.23
  • Midpoint: $65.02
  • Maximum: $77.81

Level 3:

  • Minimum: $54.85
  • Midpoint: $68.31
  • Maximum: $81.76

Level 4:

  • Minimum: $57.59
  • Midpoint: $71.71
  • Maximum: $85.83

Schedule:

  • Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem positions are available
  • Hours / Pay period (2 weeks) Available hours: 72 (Full-time) and 24 (Per Diem)
  • 12-hour shifts - 3rd shift only.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Clinical Nurse, Maternal Child Health role provides direct patient care by the Nurse Practice Act for assigned patients in maternal child departments.

  • The Registered Nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely, and appropriate quality patient care.
  • This includes providing physical assessments, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administration, specimen collection, meeting nutritional and emotional needs, and education and discharge needs of the patients assigned.
  • Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs.
  • Evaluate and adjust the nursing care process as necessary with consultation as needed and confers with the appropriate resource personnel when making ethical/legal/medical dilemma decisions.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of departmental and hospital standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Level 1: Education Training & Experience

  • Clinical Nurse I's at Magnet-designated facilities only require a BSN or that a BSN program is started within one year of hire date and a BSN degree is attained within two years of the starting the BSN program.
  • 6 months of experience in Labor and Delivery as an RN is required.

Level 2: Education Training & Experience

  • BSN required.
  • 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery as an RN is required.

Level 3: Education Training & Experience

  • BSN required.
  • National certification is required.
  • 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery as an RN is required.

Level 4: Education Training & Experience

  • MSN required.
  • National Certification is required.
  • 4 years of experience in Labor and Delivery as an RN is required.

License Required

  • California Registered Nurse licensure is active and in good standing for all levels

Certifications Required

  • BLS, NRP, ACLS, and Basic Fetal Monitoring are required.
  • Advanced Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring is required with more than one year of Labor and Delivery RN experience.
