Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Highly skilled High Risk Antepartum Registered Nurse for night shift. The role reports to the Nurse Manager of High-Risk Perinatology and supports 24/7 expert care in a Level IIIB Perinatal Center.

Responsibilities include caring for high-risk obstetric patients, coordinating with L&D and NICU teams, and administering medications and monitoring for maternal and fetal health. Relocation, tuition assistance and parking are available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Antepartum or Labor & Delivery nursing experience or 1 year hospital experience.
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as an RN.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) with life-support training as unit requires.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN/MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with complications: premature labor, hypertension, diabetes, autoimmune disease, etc.
• Coordinate care with Labor & Delivery, Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians, Neonatologists and NICU.
• Administer Mag for pre-term labor, preeclampsia and newborn protection.
• Cervical ripening, fetal monitoring, and cervical checks as needed.

Our High-Risk Perinatal Center is designated as a Level IIIB Perinatal Referral Center by the Maryland Institute of Emergency Medical Services System (MIEMSS), which means that it is recognized for an advanced level of specialty care for high-risk pregnancies.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with complications: premature labor, hypertension, diabetes, autoimmune disease, etc.
• Interface closely with Labor & Delivery, Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians, Neonatologists and NICU to coordinate care for our patients
• Administer Mag for pre-term labor, preeclampsia and newborn protection
• Cervical ripening for patients that must be induced for medical reasons, perform cervical check and fetal monitoring

What you will need

• 1 year of Antepartum or Labor & Delivery Nursing or 1 year of hospital experience
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse
• BLS certification (American Heart Association); additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; associate's nursing degree (BSN or MSN) preferred.
