Job summary

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse in Labor and Delivery to join a high-performing Women's and Children's nursing team in Silver Spring. You will provide expert, compassionate care during labor, delivery, and postpartum in a collaborative setting with access to advanced technology and a supportive team including anesthesiologists and physicians.

Requirements include 1-2 years L&D experience, ASN; BSN/MSN preferred, Maryland RN license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ASN required, BSN or MSN preferred.
• Current Maryland RN license or compact state equivalent.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association); additional life support certifications as required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum.
• Monitor fetal heart tones, administer medications, and coach patients through labor.
• Anticipate and respond to complications using clinical protocols.
• Assist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections and other OB/GYN procedures.
• Document care and patient progress using EPIC.
• Collaborate with 24-hour Patient Safety Nurses, NICU teams, and physicians during high-risk deliveries and obstetric emergencies.

Position Purpose

What You Will Do

• Pay rate: $38.92 - $55.68
• Bonus available for nurses with 2 years as an RN.
• Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
• Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
• The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
