Role Overview

This position is for a Clinical Nurse specializing in GI/GU Surgery within a 38-bed surgical unit. The nurse provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, following established nursing standards. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, educate patients and families on managing their conditions, and promote safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role involves caring for diverse patients with complex medical conditions such as colorectal, urologic, oncologic, and reconstructive surgeries, focusing on evidence-based practices like ERAS to improve outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree; RN license required
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism
