Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Clinical Nurse to provide safe, competent nursing care for a designated patient group. You will integrate nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families, coordinating care transitions, and participating in quality and safety initiatives while maintaining professional development and leadership within the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (BSN or ADN).
• Licensed as a registered nurse with current NYRN registration.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care using the nursing process, applying evidence-based practices.
• Assesses patient needs and uses critical thinking for care management.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Educates patients and families about plans of care and discharge.
• Ensures safe, efficient care and documentation in accordance with standards.
• Supports throughput and resource management on the unit.
• Engages in professional development and role modeling for staff.
