Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse to provide safe, high-quality care to a designated group of patients and their families in a dynamic hospital setting.

You will apply nursing theory, evidence-based practice, and the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and supporting the patient’s transition from hospital to home.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing program; BSN required, ADN acceptable with approval.
• Current RN license and registration.
• Licenses and Certifications: BCLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS.
• Relevant clinical competence in area of nursing practice assigned.
• Experience and readiness to integrate evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care using nursing process and professional practice model.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care needs with critical thinking.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team to plan and evaluate care.
• Prioritizes patient care including teaching, rounding, and discharge planning.
• Educates patients and caregivers about plan of care and health promotion.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and care team.
• Manages assignments within Modified Primary Nursing model.
