Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Amarillo, TX seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator to provide expert education to nursing staff, apply adult learning principles, and develop curricula across units.

You will assess learning needs, design training, coordinate simulations, mentor staff, and monitor outcomes to improve patient care; eligibility includes current RN license and BSN or higher, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with active US licensure.
• BSN or higher; MSN preferred; state licensure required.
• Experience in nursing education and program development.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide education to nursing staff in clinical and outpatient units.
• Develop instructional materials and training programs.
• Assess learning needs and evaluate outcomes.
• Coordinate nurse residency and simulation-based learning.
• Serve as trainer for Resuscitation Education Initiative (REDI) and BLS instruction.
