Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead staff, patient, family, and community education. The role focuses on staff development, patient education, and community outreach.

The educator will coordinate orientation for new hires, run education programs, collaborate with departments, and help develop policies for Patient Care Services. RN license and clinical leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license (Louisiana or multi-state compact).
• 3 years psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication with patients, families, peers and medical personnel.
• Demonstrates organizational and leadership ability.

The Clinical Nurse Educator provides a variety of teaching for staff, patients, families and the community. The focus areas are staff education, patient/family education, and community education.

Reports directly to the Practice Manager

Education And Work Experience

• BSN preferred, MSN accepted.
• Must have 3 years psychiatric nurse experience.
• Current RN License in Louisiana or multi-state compact license.
• Must be adaptable to change, be decisive, and demonstrate foresight.
• Exhibits organizational and leadership ability.
• Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel
