Salinas Valley Health Medical Center seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator to develop competent caregivers and support safe, high-quality patient care. The role blends educator, consultant, and practitioner duties, guiding nursing staff across the unit and department in education and clinical practice.

The educator will assess learning needs, implement orientation and ongoing training, and collaborate with the Education Department to improve patient outcomes while modeling professional nursing

Qualifications

• RN licensure in California is required.
• Two years of Clinical RN experience preferred; must have passed the SVMH Pharmacology test.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required; Magnet-recognition related certification within specified timeframe.

Responsabilités

• Assess learning needs of department nursing staff and create educational plans.
• Develop and evaluate orientation programs for new personnel in the department.
• Create and evaluate in-service and continuing education programs in collaboration with Education Department.
• Provide clinical coaching and act as a role model to staff to maintain clinical competence.
• Promote Magnet Journey concepts and uphold department standards and safety policies.
