Working collaboratively with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams, you will provide education, support onboarding and professional development, and promote clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, and quality patient care across the perioperative continuum. Responsibilities: - Lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of orientation, education, and competency programs tailored to Pre-Op and PACU practice. - Create engaging curricula, training materials, simulations, and learning experiences aligned with evidence-based standards and organizational priorities. - Facilitate dynamic educational sessions, workshops, and continuing education opportunities that inspire lifelong learning. - Assess and validate clinical competencies to promote safe, high-quality patient care and outstanding clinical outcomes. - Support and mentor new team members, novice nurses, students, and preceptors through structured onboarding and professional development programs. - Identify learning opportunities and empower staff to achieve their clinical and career growth goals. - Serve as a clinical resource and subject matter expert in perioperative nursing, patient preparation, anesthesia recovery, patient safety, and quality improvement. - Partner with department leadership to address performance improvement opportunities through targeted education and coaching. - Track and maintain educational records, competency assessments, certifications, and learner outcomes to ensure compliance and excellence. - Promote adherence to accreditation, regulatory, and organizational standards related to education, competency, and patient care.**Qualifications**Minimum Qualifications - Required:- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)- 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience in either Pre-Operative, PACU, Perioperative Services, Ambulatory Surgery, Critical Care, Emergency Department, or Surgical Services- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) CertificationPreferred Qualifications:- Master's Degree in Nursing- 1-2 years of clinical education experience- 1-2 years of leadership experience as a charge nurse, preceptor, or supervisor- ACLS Instructor Certification- Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN)- Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA)- Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Strong knowledge of perioperative and recovery nursing practices.- Clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills.- Ability to develop and deliver education programs and support evidence-based practice.- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.- Excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching abilities.- Proficiency with EHRs, learning management systems, and healthcare technology.- Ability to use data to support quality improvement and staff development.- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and learning.**Additional Job Details (if applicable)**Work Environment: - Collaborate with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams. - Support staff in the Pre-Operative and PACU settings through education, coaching, and competency validation. - Participate in a variety of activities, including classroom instruction, simulation, and bedside learning. - Provide flexible educational support across shifts as needed.**Remote Type**Onsite**Work Location**1153 Centre Street**Scheduled Weekly Hours**36**Employee Type**Regular**Work Shift**Day (United States of America)**Pay Range**$93,953.60 - $136,739.20/Annual**Grade**7At Mass General Brigham, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique value each team member brings to our organization.
