Job summary

Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Med Surg Trauma in El Paso, TX. The CNC will lead high-quality patient-centered care during shifts, collaborating with management to monitor and evaluate nursing care and patient outcomes.

The role requires ADN with RN Texas licensure, BCLS, ACLS, plus 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing; BSN preferred, with potential for growth into leadership positions.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred; MSN optional.
• Two years clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• RN licensure in Texas or compact state; BCLS; ACLS (6 month grace).

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services with management.
• Collaborates with managers to create teamwork for improved outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Implements nursing strategies such as rounds and engagement initiatives.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting and training staff; may participate in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management.
• Supports inventory control and equipment management.
