Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead clinical and managerial operations on a shift as an RN. The role involves coordinating, evaluating, customizing, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across the unit.

You may assume patient care responsibilities if needed to support team needs. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen patient safety and outcomes while guiding staff development, performance reviews,

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in healthcare.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in state(s) of practice; active license or compact.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required by policy.
  • ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Monitor quality of care and operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
  • Provide leadership within the unit, including supervision, education, coaching and performance reviews.
  • Assume designated responsibilities across core areas: Quality/Safety, Patient Experience, Employee Engagement, Fiscal responsibilities, Staff Development.

Job Summary and Qualifications

  • You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.

  • You will continuously assessthe quality ofnursingcare services providedand operationalizeevidenced-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.

  • You willassume leadership responsibilitywithinthe unit in support of theRNmanager/director, including direct supervision of aportionof the staff,education and coaching,payroll editing,annualperformance reviews,and employeerecognition.

  • You will have designatedresponsibilities that may rotate within one or more of the following core areas:

  • Quality, Safety, and Regulatory Preparedness

  • Patient Experience

  • Employee Engagement, Physician Satisfaction, and Culture

  • Fiscal Responsibility including scheduling, overtime review, and supply management

  • Staff Development including education / clinicalcompetencies and Graduate Nurse Residency /Preceptor support

Requirements
Experience
  • 1+ year experience in healthcare

Education
  • Associate Degree in Nursing

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing- preferred

License and Certifications
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license,in accordance withlaw and regulation.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)requiredas per St. David’s Healthcare policy

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification-preferred
