Job Summary And Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions during the shift. In collaboration with management, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s values to support excellent patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and quality care.
  • Participating in ongoing assessment of care quality.
  • Collaborating with team members to create a supportive environment.
  • Supporting a patient-first philosophy and service recovery.
  • Engaging in nursing strategies like employee rounding and hourly rounds.
  • Providing input on hiring, training, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Managing staff scheduling and labor costs.
  • Supporting inventory control and managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications required:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
