Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN, who reports to the Nursing Director for clinical and operational functions of an assigned unit. You will manage the unit’s clinical and operational activities in the absence of the Director. You will be part of a team that supports each other while providing excellent patient care in a collaborative environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all functions during your shift.
  • Collaborate with management to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care according to policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and model organizational values to support excellent patient outcomes.
  • Oversee staff roles and coordinate patient placement based on acuity, skill, and staffing.
  • Identify and address educational needs of the unit.
  • Participate in and direct patient care conferences, including discharge planning.
  • Ensure rounds with physicians are conducted.
  • Monitor patient condition changes and make appropriate clinical decisions.
  • Ensure orders are appropriate and executed promptly.

Job Requirements:

  • Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
  • BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.
  • 2 years of acute care RN experience preferred.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Bachelor's Degree, RN Diploma, or Associate Degree required.
  • ACLS and PALS certification or instructor status must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification required within 30 days of employment.
