Responsibilities include:

1. Providing specialized care to specific patient populations to optimize care and experience.
2. Coordinating the plan of care and acting as a liaison between providers, departments, healthcare professionals, and schedulers for testing, scheduling, and referrals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education, Certification, and Licensure:

• Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses or appropriate state board, or multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• West Virginia state criminal background check and federal background check if applicable.
• Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Experience:

• Two years' experience as an RN or five years' experience as an LPN.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Relevant certification for specialized care.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with procedures, tests, medication administration, and specimen collection.
• Serve as the first contact for patients, providing triage and medical advice.
• Coordinate care plans and liaise among healthcare providers and departments.
• Manage patient appointments, testing, labs, and prior authorizations.
• Prepare educational materials and counsel patients.
• Assist with research efforts when applicable.
• Provide education and consultation to nursing staff.
• Attend conferences or educational opportunities to stay updated.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting over 35 lbs, standing, walking, and patient positioning.

Working Environment:

• Exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and potential infectious agents.
• Travel may be required between multiple locations.
