Job description

MGB Salem Hospital: The Neuropsychological Assessment Center at Salem Hospital MGB is seeking licensed or MA license-eligible neuropsychologists to provide neuropsychological and psychological assessments for children and adolescents in the Neurodevelopmental Clinic (NDC). Salem Hospital is part of the Mass General Brigham Health Care Network, which includes MGH, Brigham, McLean, Newton Wellesley Hospital, and other MGB institutions. Located in Salem, MA, the city offers numerous restaurants, green spaces, beaches, a world-class art museum, and a rich culture and history. It is easily accessible by car, train, or ferry to Boston or the Northshore coastal towns.

The Neuropsychological Assessment Center is a lifespan clinic with 10 staff psychologists, a post-doctoral fellow, and fee-for-service clinicians with diverse expertise. The NDC receives a wide range of referrals, providing opportunities to work with children aged 2 through college age in a supportive environment. Referral questions include ADHD, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, language/communication disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, trauma, and complex medical histories such as post-concussion syndrome, seizure disorders, in utero substance exposure, and genetic disorders. There are options to provide supervision, run seminars, and collaborate within other hospital psychiatry services, including pediatric inpatient psychiatry, adolescent partial hospital, and outpatient clinics.

Applicants should have experience with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum, attention deficit, and intellectual disabilities. Interest and experience in psychological testing, including projective measures and working with young children (<5 years), are preferred. The position can be part-time or full-time with competitive salary, benefits, training funds, and CEs. Starting salary for newly licensed candidates is $95,000, with supervision and mentoring available. Staff meetings feature case conferences and speakers. Full-time employees are eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

Qualifications
