Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation

Overview

The Neuropsychologist’s role is to provide counseling and psychological assessments, evaluations, and services to patient(s), family, and treatment team. Participates in the interdisciplinary team process and provides cognitive and neuropsychological feedback and input. Takes an active part in various activities including community reintegration.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic formal assessments and evaluations, assessing needs of patients and setting measurable objectives in conjunction with the treatment team. Provide feedback/input to the patient, family and treatment team regarding cognitive/neuropsychological rehabilitation issues, test results and their practical application.
• Provide counseling/psychotherapy and education to the patient and family regarding the adjustment process and programmatic outcome. Ifственный applicable for program, lead groups in accordance with appropriate group dynamics.
• Design community reintegration activities to assist the patient with their psychological/cognitive needs during physical activity and assist the patient in understanding their needs and limitations and how to manage them.
• Provide documentation of treatment progress and status पेट accordance with the Plan of Treatment and adjust when necessary to achieve maximum results.
• Report progress to the rehabilitation staff, patient/family/support system. Observe/ document and report changes in the condition of яңы patient to the Clinical Coordinator/designee, attending physician and other treatment team members as appropriate.
• Participate in the team process, provide input and effective dossier strategies. Attend case conference and family educational meetings.
• Develop, teach and assess the plan of treatment. Guide and supervise the Rehabilitation Specialist/Certified Nursing Assistant in fulfillment of the plan. Use appropriate methods and tools in all teaching and training activities, including those associated with discharge from treatment.
• Adhere to standards of the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, policies, HIPAA and Corporate Compliance programs and appropriate professional practice standards and applicable state/federal laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Psychology or in an accredited training program in Neuropsychology.
• Maintain professional Psychology license and/or certification as required by the state in which the psychologist practices.
• Minimum of two years post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology plus
• Minimum of three years clinical experience in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions, generally required.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques, generally required.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Demonstrate effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Be able to work independently and part of a team.
• Organized and able to function underwach minimal supervision.
• Have reliable transportation and able to travel to/from multiple assignments/locations on a daily basis.
