Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Psychometrist to administer and score neuropsychological tests under supervision. You will interact with patients over extended sessions, observe behavior, and document results to inform diagnoses and recommendations for school/work accommodations.

The role emphasizes accuracy, empathy, and adherence to HIPAA and safety policies, with opportunities to support research and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field is required.
• Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Attention to detail is a critical strength.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license when driving for work-related reasons.

Responsibilities

• Accurately administers and records responses, times and scores tests/observations.
• Assist Neuropsychologists in test selection and adapt administration to patient needs.
• Communicate scores and observations to Neuropsychologists in a timely manner.
• Maintain records and data retrieval systems for test batteries.
• Screen neuropsychology patients for cognitive impairments using standardized batteries.
• Support research projects and participate in improving departmental processes.
