Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Neurologist with a specialized focus in Neuromuscular Medicine and Electromyography (EMG) to join our leading outpatient neurology provider group in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate should have completed a Neuromuscular Medicine fellowship and possess expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological disorders, particularly those related to the neuromuscular system.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations, including patient history, physical examinations, and appropriate diagnostic testing, to determine accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Specialize in Neuromuscular Medicine and Electromyography (EMG) to diagnose and treat disorders such as neuropathies, myopathies, motor neuron diseases, and other neuromuscular conditions.
  • Perform and interpret EMG/NCS studies, providing accurate assessments and recommendations based on the results.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in neurological research, treatment modalities, and technologies to provide the highest level of patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and the importance of following prescribed regimens.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, documenting patient encounters, diagnoses, treatments, and recommendations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and educational activities to foster continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a Neurology residency program.
  • Successful completion of a fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine, with specific training in EMG/NCS studies.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neurology, preferably with added qualifications in Neuromuscular Medicine.
  • Valid medical license in the state of Nevada (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to accurately diagnose complex neurological conditions.
  • Commitment to staying updated with advancements in neurological research and treatment strategies.
  • Effective communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in maintaining accurate medical records.

Work Environment:

  • Setting: Outpatient neurology clinic in Las Vegas.
  • Schedule: Full-time, five days per week.
  • Weekends: No weekend work required.
  • Call: No on-call duties.
