Position Overview

GeneDx is seeking a Senior Clinical Scientist (FT, 40 hours, Remote) to join our Clinical Genetics team. Candidates should be open to shifts: Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday – Thursday.

We are a CAP and CLIA certified diagnostic genetic testing laboratory specializing in molecular genetics, including exome sequencing, genome sequencing, and NGS panels, focusing on rare hereditary and common disorders. Learn more at www.genedx.com.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret variants identified by exome and genome sequencing using proprietary software and workflows.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of geneticists, counselors, and bioinformaticians.
• Establish phenotype-genotype links and review genetic disorder spectra.
• Sign out detailed clinical test reports.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or DO degree.
• ABMGG certification or eligibility in Clinical Molecular Genetics and Genomics, Laboratory Genetics and Genomics, or Clinical Genetics and Genomics.
• 2+ years of clinical diagnostics experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of human genetics and experience with exome sequencing data analysis preferred.
