Qualifications

• MD, DO, MBBS, or PhD required with board certification or eligibility in AP/CP or CP.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for staff and direct activities of the laboratory with managers, supervisors, and senior technologists.
• Provide clinical microbiology direction to the University Hospital clinical microbiology laboratory, including test validation and CAP accreditation maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health care providers; participate in training pathology residents, infectious disease fellows, and medical students.
• Oversee molecular microbiology aspects and contribute to translational research proposals or funded projects.
