Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Clinical Medical Physicist to join a growing Radiation Oncology program serving Southern and Coastal Maine. The role spans four treatment sites, with primary involvement at Maine Medical Center in Portland and the new Mid Coast Cancer Center in Brunswick.

You’ll work on stereotactic treatments, advanced imaging, brachytherapy, and program development across multiple sites, including CT simulation, image guidance, surface guidance, and motion management.

Qualifications

• CAMPEP residency required or completed.
• CAMPEP-validated medical physics training and residency.
• Board certifications or eligibility in Radiation Therapy Physics.

Responsibilities

• Support external beam radiation therapy, stereotactic treatments, brachytherapy, imaging, simulation, and treatment delivery.
• Perform treatment planning support, dose calculations, patient-specific QA, and physics plan review.
• Maintain QA programs and participate in equipment commissioning, validation, and technology implementation.
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, therapists, physicists, IT, engineering, and vendor partners.
• Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement, and workflow standardization.
