Job summary

MRH is seeking a licensed or certified Medical Assistant to support patient flow in the clinic. You will show patients to exam rooms, collect histories, assist with procedures, and maintain accurate records in EMR. The role requires HIPAA compliance, BLS, and juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

You will work on-site in Craig, CO, following facility policies and participating in ongoing staff trainings. A background check and pre-employment screen are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Shows patients to the examination room and prepares them for the provider.
• Records patients' past medical history, vaccine status, vital statistics, and medication reconciliation.
• Maintains compliance with department, clinic, and state/federal regulations.
• Answers calls, greets patients, and directs by phone; documents messages in EMR.
• Cares for instruments by cleaning, packaging, and sterilizing where available.
• Participates in in-services and staff meetings; adheres to policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates HIPAA confidentiality and patient data protection.
• Translates medications into pediatric doses and uses proper equipment.
• Floats to other departments as assigned; assists with procedures as needed.
• Maintains a positive, collaborative attitude with team and other departments.
