Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent work experience.
• Current First Aid/ CPR certification or completed within first 60 days of employment.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with multitasking ability.
• Proficiency in patient management software.
• Demonstrated social perceptiveness and a service-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient interviews and document medical histories.
• Perform vital signs, specimen collection, and health evaluations.
• Assist with clinical procedures (EKGs, vaccinations, venipuncture, etc.).
• Provide phlebotomy and lab specimen handling with quality control.
• Input patient data into EMR and coordinate admissions when needed.
• Triage patients and manage multiple cases per hour; ensure clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Offer front office support as needed through cross-training.
