Job summary

Phoebe Putney Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist physicians with patient procedures, injections, dressings, specimen collection, and basic testing. The role also includes clerical duties and potential coverage at other PPG clinics during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Treats patients and families with compassion and implements a plan of care.
• Establishes rapport with clients, adapts communication style, listens and responds to patient needs.
• Monitors and documents patient response.
• Documents information accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Maintains equipment and uses technology to increase productivity.
• Performs injections, dressings, splints, specimen collection, lab tests, EKGs, and drug screen collection.
• May float to other PPG clinics during high volume to assist with coverage.
