Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient examinations and treatments. You will coordinate patient care, maintain accurate medical records in the EMR, and perform routine clinical procedures while ensuring a positive patient experience.

You will handle vaccinations, phlebotomy, EKG testing, and cardiac monitoring, while assisting with training new staff and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and office protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification is required.
• Two to five years of Medical Assistant or related healthcare experience.
• CMA or RMA credential from an accredited certifying body is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care and clinical operations under physician direction.
• Enter and maintain patient information in EMR; update medical histories.
• Administer vaccinations, phlebotomy, EKGs and cardiac monitoring.
• Coordinate patient flow, prepare rooms, and maintain supplies.
• Handle medication refills, prior authorizations and communications with patients.
