Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for BHMG Urgent Care Ring Rd PRN to support clinicians in direct patient care and clinical procedures. You will handle patient check-in, vital signs, history intake, and documentation in EPIC, while upholding Baptist Health values.

The role requires completion of an MA program or a high school diploma with MA experience, with orientation and competency assessments provided. BLS and regional certifications are expected within established timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of MA experience in a medical office or clinic.
• Or graduate of accredited MA program with hands-on patient experience.
• BLS from American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• BAT and DOT certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients, obtain vital signs and med reconciliation.
• Document medical history information.
• Navigate EPIC EMR and document care.
• Communicate with pharmacies, insurers, patients, and physicians.
