Job summary

Sutter Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and the patient care team in SEBMF-East Bay Medical Foundation. The role combines clinical and clerical duties to help deliver high-quality care and smooth patient workflows.

You will perform vital signs, prepare patients for exams, administer injections, maintain patient records in the EHR, and communicate clearly with patients and families while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and completion of Medical Assistant training as specified by the Medical Board of California (diploma within 90 days)
• MA Certification by a CA Medical Board recognized agency required to be eligible for incentive (2025)
• 1 year of recent relevant experience
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support to providers and patient care team members
• Help ensure smooth patient workflow within the department
• Assist in implementing the medical plan of care
• Communicate clearly with patients and families about procedures and care
