The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a CA Medical Assistants program, and current BLS.

Qualifikationen

• Externship completed as part of Medical Assisting Program.
• Minimum 1 year working as a medical assistant.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required; CCMA and CMAA certifications preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assist providers with examinations and procedures as directed.
• Room patients, take vital signs and complete intake questions.
• Prepare exam rooms, drapes and supplies for visits.
• Document patient information in the medical record per SYH guidelines.
• Verify insurance information and manage patient communications.
• Maintain inventory and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Support training of new hires and externs as needed.
• Respond to clinical emergencies and follow infection control policies.
