Job summary

Goodtime Family Care is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support our providers in a pediatric-focused clinic in Baltimore. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, taking vitals, and recording health history under supervision of physicians and nursing staff.

The role also covers assisting with treatments, injections, specimen collection, referrals, and laboratory arrangement, while maintaining inventory and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
• Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to follow administrative and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment and examination rooms.
• Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record health history.
• Assist providers with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.
• Administer injections and medications, and perform routine specimen collection and tests.
• Check-out patients, assist with referrals and prior authorizations, and arrange laboratory services.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies.
