Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital is seeking a patient services assistant to support clinical and non-clinical tasks under the supervision of healthcare providers. You will take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow, collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to ensure efficient care.

The position is onsite at 20 Patriot Place with a 9:15am–5:45pm, Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality rules.
• Ability to take vital signs and collect specimens.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment.
• Record medical history and important patient data in medical records.
• Perform general office duties and act as liaison between departments.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain supplies.
• Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated materials.
