Job summary

American Oncology Network is seeking a Medical Assistant/Laboratory Aide to support physicians with procedures and phlebotomy in our Indiana clinics. You will perform laboratory testing, quality control, and maintenance of instruments, while documenting in the EMR and supporting patient care across multiple sites.

The role requires phlebotomy experience, BLS, and the ability to travel to AON locations as needed. Monday–Friday hours with potential overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of medical assistant experience with venipuncture preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and blood draws accurately.
• Assist physicians with procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Conduct laboratory tests and quality control procedures.
• Document results and patient data in EMR systems.
• Schedule outside testing and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Maintain inventory and place orders for supplies.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in the lab.
