Job summary

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant III (CMA/RMA) to provide high-quality clinical and administrative support to physicians, hospitalists, and other healthcare professionals in outpatient and hospital settings. You will help ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and compassionate patient care in line with clinical guidelines.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
• Experience supporting physicians, hospitalists, and other clinicians.
• Clinical and administrative competencies in outpatient and hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes: vitals, histories, allergies.
• Assist providers during exams, minor procedures, wound care, and tests.
• Perform EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection per policy.
• Prepare and process lab samples and point-of-care tests.
• Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and equipment calibration.
• Support triage, care coordination, and transitions across settings.
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, chronic disease management, and preventive care.
• Document clinical data and instructions in the EHR.
• Schedule and track appointments, referrals, authorizations, results.
• Verify insurance and assist with prior authorizations, billing, coding.
• Monitor inventory and prepare exam/procedure rooms.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
• Facilitate communication among patients, providers, and teams.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and OSHA.
• Provide compassionate, culturally competent care.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
