Qualifications

• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required
• Ability to take vital signs and document in the EHR
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Compliance with privacy regulations
• Onsite patient-focused care

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments and manage patient flow
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, and physician instructions to patients and organize educational materials
• Perform general office duties and liaise with other departments to advocate for patients
• Collect blood, prepare specimens, and log for testing; perform phlebotomy if competent
• Maintain inventory of immunizations and check expiration dates
• Provide immunizations as applicable with required certification or supervision
