Job summary

Sutter Health is seeking a Limited Term Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support within specialty departments. You will assist providers, prepare patients for exams, and help implement the medical plan of care. This role requires a HS Diploma or CA-approved MA program, BLS, and about 1 year of relevant experience.

The position is 26 weeks, on-site in a clinical setting with varied daily tasks, coordinating with the patient care team to maintain efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required or equivalent, with a CA Medical Board-approved Medical Assistant program.
• Completion of Sutter Health on-the-job training in medical assisting or equivalent to one year.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support in back office and patient care areas.
• Assist in implementing medical plan of care and ensure smooth department workflow.
• Interact with patients, families, and other providers to support care delivery.
