Job summary

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a busy ambulatory clinic in Las Vegas. The role includes front desk and back-office support, specimen collection, and basic clinical tasks under supervision.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, at least one year of ambulatory experience, BLS, and licensure as an Office Laboratory Assistant or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized medical assistant program and one year medical assisting experience in an ambulatory/clinical setting.
• BLS certification required; Office Laboratory Assistant license may be required within 60 days of hire.
• One year of front desk experience required.
• One year of back-office support experience for a primary care provider required.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Must have or obtain an Office Laboratory Assistant license within one month of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clerical and clinical tasks within the clinic.
• Assists physicians and other licensed providers to provide cost-effective, quality patient care.
• Supports front desk operations and back-office workflow to maintain clinic efficiency.
