Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is hiring a Medical Assistant / EMT for Tampa Pain Relief Center. Join our fast-paced interventional pain management team to support providers with exams, documentation, and patient communication while gaining hands-on experience.

This role offers a PRN schedule (Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM) with full benefits including medical and dental insurance, PTO, holidays, and on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with provider documentation and charting during patient visits.
• Take vital signs, update medical histories, and perform intake.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment is clean and stocked.
• Assist during exams and procedures as directed by providers.
• Communicate with patients about upcoming procedures, instructions, and follow-ups.
• Manage communication with pharmacies.
• Coordinate patient care through phone calls, faxes, and secure messaging.
• Help track and follow up on medical clearances, referrals, and lab results.
• Support both front and back office tasks as needed for team coverage.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of clinical documentation in EMR systems.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and a high standard of professionalism.
