Job summary

HCA Florida NeuSpine Institute is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support patient care in a busy practice. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist with injections and lab work, and help physicians with minor surgeries and physicals.

The role is full-time, weekdays, with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Certification or accredited MA training is required, with opportunities for certification progression and comprehensive employee benefits.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or 12 months of direct clinical patient care experience or current MA certification.
Candidates with one year of medical work experience who do not possess MA certification must obtain certification within one year of hire date.
Recent graduates will obtain a clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment.
Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies and maintain sterilization.
Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
Answer calls and screen for referrals.
