Average Annual Salary: $42,000 to $45,000

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and abide by Eckerd Connects Core Values and operating principles
  • Create a positive and motivating classroom atmosphere to maximize student engagement
  • Meet SMART Goals established by management every Program Year
  • Instruct on the Clinical Medical Assistant curriculum in accordance with Job Corps requirements
  • Counsel and motivate students regarding behavior, training, and personal development
  • Develop supplemental lessons and recommend curricula changes to enhance learning outcomes
  • Individualize the curriculum to fit students' vocational choices and maintain contact with counselors and instructors
  • Prepare reports such as student/staff hours, requisitions, and monthly student evaluations
  • Maintain a conducive classroom environment for learning
  • Attend required staff training sessions and adhere to safety practices

Qualifications:

  • Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or accredited by a professional trade organization
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of required subject area and ability to transfer knowledge fluently in English
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students, effectively relating to the trainee population
