Job summary

The Crossroads Center is a full-service behavioral health nonprofit focused on recovery, safety, and quality care in the Greater Cincinnati area.

The Clinical Manager, Behavioral Health leads administrative and clinical operations across residential, outpatient, MAT, OBOT, and intensive services, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling.
• Minimum five years in behavioral healthcare with at least one year in a clinical leadership role.
• Licensed: LISW/LISW-S or LPCC/LPCC-CS.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Knowledge and use of evidence-based practices.
• Experience providing clinical supervision and regulatory training.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Understanding ASAM criteria and DSM-5-TR.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and standardize services and curricula for clinical programs.
• Collaborate with Chief Clinical Officer and HR to hire/terminate, review performance, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide documented clinical supervision for therapists and peers.
• Coach and mentor teams to deliver evidence-based, culturally informed services.
• Monitor timely documentation: progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
• Attend court dockets to advocate for clients and promote services.
• Support screening, assessment, and intake for new clients.
• Cover clinical duties during short-staff periods when needed.

The Crossroads Center is seeking a collaborative and compassionate Clinical Manager, Behavioral Health to plan, direct, and oversee the administrative and clinical operations of our programs, ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. The Clinical Manager, Behavioral Health provides support, coaching, mentoring, input, training, and direction for the daily provision of clinical services based upon evidence-based practices for clients participating in services at The Crossroads Center (TCC). This includes residential services, outpatient services, medication-assisted treatment, office-based opioid treatment, and/or intensive outpatient services, outpatient group services, and aftercare services.

What We Require for this Role:

• Master’s Degree in Social work and/or Counseling.
• A minimum of five (5) years experience in behavioral healthcare, with at least one (1) year experience in a clinical role with progressive leadership responsibilities serving clients with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Experience in multiple treatment settings, e.g., inpatient, outpatient, and/or residential a plus.
• LISW/LISW-S or LPCC/LPCC-CS required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Demonstrated knowledge, use, and implementation of evidence-based practices.
• Experience providing clinical supervision and regulatory training for the applicable regulatory guidelines affecting the operations of a treatment program.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization.
• Working knowledge of the American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, Fifth Edition, Text Revision.

Key Job Duties:

• Responsible for the development, implementation, and standardization of services, including curriculum and special programs for clinical services offered at The Crossroads Center.
• Works in conjunction with the Chief Clinical Officer and Human Resources Coordinator to hire and terminate employees, complete performance reviews, corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and ensure appropriate conflict resolution.
• Provides documented clinical supervision consistently for employees providing therapeutic services and peer support services.
• Coaches and mentors team members to maintain, enhance, and provide effective, evidence-based, efficient, and culturally specific services to promote recovery.
• Monitors and ensures timely completion of documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, while providing feedback to the clinicians.
• Attends specialized court dockets to advocate for clients and promote services at TCC.
• Supports the screening, assessment, and intake procedures for all potential new clients.
• Supports clinicians through service provision during periods of being short-staffed, including assuming a patient/client caseload as needed.
