Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington Cardiology is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join the cardiology team. The role requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and MA certification within one year, with a minimum of five years’ experience in direct patient interaction in a physician office setting.

Supervisory experience is preferred, and basic computer skills are desired. This is a clinical support position within a busy Cardiology department at Baptist Health in Lexington.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting Program; School of Nursing and or health related field.
• Must achieve an MA certification from an approve institution (AAMA, AMT, NCCT) or LPN, RN license within one year of employment
• 5 years' experience in direct patient interaction in a physician office setting
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Computer skills preferred
