You will lead a dedicated interdisciplinary team caring for patients and families during some of life's most important moments-while helping advance the mission of one of Colorado's most established nonprofit hospice organizations.

We are looking for a leader who combines strong clinical judgment with a genuine commitment to people. The right person will be visible, engaged, and collaborative; set clear expectations; coach and develop team members; recognize great work; and create accountability around quality, productivity, and the patient and family experience.

If you are an experienced RN leader who wants your leadership to have a meaningful impact on patients, families, clinicians, and the broader Denver community, we would love to meet you.

Location: Denver, CO
Status: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; on-call as needed
Pay Range: $99,507-$109,262 annually
Additional Compensation: On-call pay, mileage reimbursement and other applicable stipends based on position, schedule, and/or availability

WHY THE DENVER HOSPICE?

At The Denver Hospice, our work is more than healthcare-it is a community mission. Our teams provide compassionate, expert care that helps patients live with comfort and dignity while supporting the families who love them.

As Clinical Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and develop a dedicated interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
  • Influence the quality of care delivered to patients and families throughout the Denver community.
  • Build a culture of engagement, accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders who share a commitment to excellent hospice care.
  • Help clinicians navigate complex patient needs while maintaining a strong focus on quality, compassion, and regulatory excellence.
  • Make a meaningful difference in a mission-driven, nonprofit organization.
WHAT YOU WILL LEAD

The Clinical Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, supervision, and coordination of services provided by the interdisciplinary team (IDT/IDG). This role is both a people leader and a clinical leader, with responsibility for creating the conditions in which clinicians can provide outstanding patient and family care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach, support, and develop clinical team members, creating clear expectations and accountability while fostering engagement and professional growth.
  • Oversee direct and indirect patient and family services provided by the interdisciplinary team.
  • Recruit, orient, train, mentor, and retain high-performing team members.
  • Monitor patient care and EMR documentation for timeliness, accuracy, continuity, and quality.
  • Promote clinical excellence and strong patient and family experiences, including performance related to CAHPS, quality measures, and other industry standards.
  • Manage team workload based on referrals, census, acuity, and patient needs while maintaining appropriate staffing ratios and responsible stewardship of resources.
  • Facilitate collaboration across disciplines and participate in IDT/IDG meetings, patient conferences, and other clinical and operational meetings.
  • Address patient and family concerns promptly and thoughtfully, identifying opportunities to improve care and service.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and actively participate in regulatory surveys.
  • Partner with clinical, quality, finance, and operational leaders to achieve organizational goals.
  • Support budget management and appropriate utilization of staffing, DME, medical supplies, medications, and other patient-care resources.
WHAT YOU BRING

We are looking for a leader who can earn the trust of clinicians, inspire a team, and maintain high standards for patient care.

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of three years of healthcare supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Hospice, palliative care, home-based care, or other complex clinical-care experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and engage clinical teams.
  • Strong clinical judgment with a commitment to quality, compliance, and patient-centered care.
  • Ability to balance compassion and support with clear performance expectations and accountability.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 14 days of hire.
BENEFITS THAT SUPPORT YOU

We believe caring for others starts with supporting the people who provide that care. Our benefits and programs include:

  • Employer-paid medical premiums of more than 90% for employees enrolled in certain plans.
  • Health Savings Account funding of $1,000 for individual coverage and $2,000 for family coverage.
  • Medical benefits effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
  • 18 days of PTO during the first year for full-time team members.
  • Seven paid holidays plus an additional floating holiday.
  • 403(b) retirement plan with a 50% employer match on contributions up to 8% of compensation.
  • Company-paid life and AD&D insurance.
  • Clinical career ladders and certification pay.
  • Team member referral and service recognition programs.
  • Early wage access.
  • Legal and identity-protection benefits.
